My TurboFire Over Hauliday Challenge

As many of you know, around 11 weeks ago, I became a Beach Body Coach and a TurboFire fanatic! I even shared my mighty bicep muscle growing! Pretty much since I have started the program I haven't been able to shut up about it and that is really why I decided to become a Beach Body Coach. Trust me, I am not an expert in fitness or nutrition, but what I am, is a self-described expert in sharing information! I looove to share information with people about my own experiences and of others (this is also another reason why I enjoy blogging so much!)
My point is, is I love being a Beach Body coach. Have I learned about nutrition? Yes! Have I learned about fitness? Yes! Do I have a support group of other coaches (as well as Beach Body Club Members) just like me who have the same fitness goals (as well as struggles) as I do? Yes! Do I have a new attitude toward my health? Yes! Am I motivated? Yes!
Now almost on a daily basis, I get asked about TurboFire and Shakeology.
So, I have decided, that there is no time better than the present than to start a fitness challenge! Why not have a plan of action on how to deal with the upcoming holidays and winter bulge??

I think it is really important to have a support network and I believe that is why these challenge groups are so successful. I am currently doing TurboFire alongside my co-worker and between talking to her and other Beach Body Members it has made a huge difference with me in sticking to the program, to keep pushing myself, and achieving my goals!
If you are interested in joining the challenge or if you have any questions let me know. By the way, I know many of you all ready have TurboFire, you can still join the challenge group, you just need to order Shakeology! Also if you want to know about other programs like Insanity or P90x, Turbo Jam, etc. we can create a challenge group for that too!  You can either post a comment below or feel free to email me at tinybutterfly22@gmail.com

***The Deadline to sign up for the TurboFire Over Hauliday Challenge is November 5th. ***

Fire It Up, Turbo Fire Style!

For about the past 28 days, I have been doing the TurboFire work out program as part of my new goal to get toned up and fit into all of my pre-Drew clothes. I can't wait to tell you how impressed I am with the results so far, but first, let me fill you in about TurboFire.
So, what is TurboFire?
TurboFire is a 90-day weight-loss and body slimming program.
TurboFire is a total-body conditioning program designed to give you
the best experience and the fastest results—lean legs, sculpted arms,
and flat abs. This program is packed with kickboxing drills, aerobic
exercises, and dance moves perfectly choreographed to the hottest
music to help motivate you to have the best workout possible. It’s the
maximum fat-burning cardio revolution that puts you front and center
at the head of the class for the best results. Your instructor is the highly
sought-after, award-winning fitness expert Chalene Johnson, creator of
other successful programs like Turbo Jam and ChaLEAN Extreme

So, pretty much it is a series of 10 different cds that includes 14 different workout programs, that range in time from 15-55 minutes. The program comes with a calendar that tells you which exercise cd to do on what day. If you follow the calendar exactly, then you work out 6 days a week and it also comes with a couple different workout bands used for abs, sculpting, and toning.
At first, I couldn't believe how uncoordinated I was and I felt a little foolish and discouraged. The program comes with starter and breakdown videos that you can watch to help you learn the moves, but I didn't want any part of that. I was deteremined that I could figure it out by myself!.  By the end of the first week, I was able to keep up with the routines no problem. I probably didn't look pretty doing it, but I was getting it done and able to change from one series to the next without tripping all over myself with arms and legs flailing about.
There has only been maybe 2 or 3 times where I have had to miss a workout, but I just doubled up the next day to keep on track. Those days were not so fun :) It's funny how guilty I felt though missing the workout, like I had really let myself down for not making it a priority to make time for myself.  Plus another thing, that I have been really shocked about, is how much fun I am having working out!Don't get me wrong, I do have my moments that I struggle getting motivated to start, as I typically work out at 5:00 in the morning before the boys wake up and I have to get ready for work. Getting my butt out of bed and start intense cardio can be a total pain in the ass, but I know I will regret it later if I don't get it done. Plus once I actually get started it really isn't a big deal and I feel so accomplished when it's over with. So, best bet for me, is to just suck it up and Just Do It!
I haven't totally changed my diet. I am drinking Shakeology every morning for breakfast, which is also supposed to help with increasing your metabolism, energy, etc.

Well, actually, truth be told,  I guess I have been eating a little better and a little less, because if you are working out as hard as I am, who wants to plow a bunch of chips and soda and candy to them?  However, at Jacoby's birthday party, you better believe I tried a piece of the cake and I still partake in the Bardsley Pizza Night every Friday night!

Anyways, lets get down to the RESULTS! I have been hovering around 118 lbs and have wanting to get to 110 lbs. Any other time I have worked out and the scale has stayed the same or has gone up, I've been ready to smash the scale out the window, but not this time!! I am still around 118 lbs, but my clothes are fitting better, my love handles are decreasing, lower belly pooch is getting smaller,  my thighs are getting smaller...and wait for it.........I have found a muscle!

Now, please try to refrain from laughing, as I know it is not the mightiest thing you have ever seen, but it is in fact a muscle and a muscle that was not at all there 28 days ago! Plus it is in my left arm which has always been my weaker side! So Taddaaa!!
I have one more pair of pants that I really am waiting to fit into. I can get them on and button them, but they are tight on my legs. No way could I wear them out in public..yet! There is no doubt that when I am done with this program that they will fit, how can they not? I'm all ready thinking about what I'm going to do once TurboFire is over. I just don't want this to end. For once, I'm really starting to feel healthy, strong, and I feel good about taking care of myself!

***If you are looking to tone up, lose weight, have more energy, than I highly recommend TurboFire! My co-worker, Joline, has also been doing it with me, (which also helps keep me motivated) and she said she is also noticing a difference all ready in how here clothes fit! I have explained how I have become a Beach Body Coach in a previous post, which means you can order TurboFire directly from my website at www.beachbodycoach.com/coachjennyb. We can help each other stay motivated and work together to reach our fitness goals! I promise you won't regret it! I mean, seriously, take a look at that muscle again! Haha!

***Also let me know if you have any questions about Shakeology! It is awesome!!

I'm a Beach Body Coach, Now What??

Beachbody® Decide. Commit. Succeed.® Logo
So, here is the deal. I have been exercising. I run 2 miles nearly every day and when I can, I also have been trying to fit in a 6 mile bike ride. Am I on a health kick? A little bit, but I haven't been able to totally give up on having some occasional nachos. Plus, Friday night is pizza night at the Bardsley house-hold so it is my duty to eat it. I even managed to find a beer to have that is only like 64 calories and it doesn't even make me want to puke it my mouth..so score on that one.  Other than that though, I have been cutting down on my portions, day time snacking is healthy, and meals I try to keep pretty balanced.
I have blogged about my frustrations with not seeing quick results, so as I see it, I need to kick it up a notch. I have figured out a way for me to be more motivated and to make some extra money (I hope!) This week I have become a Beach Body Coach.  Beach Body is the company that does P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, etc.  They also sell Shakeology which is a meal replacement shake increases weight loss, increases energy, and improves over all health.
As a Beach Body coach, I will basically be working out and using the Beach Body products and sharing my experience.  I will help others figure out what Beach Body program would work best for them for whatever their desired goals are (losging weight, bulking up, toning up, etc) I will aslo be available for support and motivation.  It is a win-win situation for me also, because as I coach I feel as though we are all in this together and others will be keeping me motivated too!
I am not ready to jump into P90X or Insanity (I tried the Insanity Fit Test in the winter and couldn't walk for 5 days) Next week I'm going to start out with the Power 90. I used the Power 90 videos right before I got married and it helped me get into pretty good shape. So we will see what all this does for this post-baby, over 30 body now.
Since I am a Beach Body Coach, I also get really cool deals that I can share with friends and family like this Challenge Pack. If you think you'd like to give it a try, let me know and I can hook you up or answer any questions you might have.
Photo: So yesterday's festivities are over, so if you are ready to get back on the "get healthy bandwagon" I have a deal for you. Check it out. Let me know if you want more info and I will hook you up!
I will be blogging about my progress (and my weak moments..we all have them ahem..Doritos) I just know that now is the time for me to do this. I am motivated for myself and for my family.  Even though my kids are still toddlers, I want them to see that I  exercise and that I think it's important to take care of ourselves.   Plus I have a great pair of jeans in my closet that I'm just dying to look fabulous in (you know, I do have other priorities than just being healthy..lol)
